About MetaWise BnB
Short-stay is not only holidays.
Most people picture a weekend by the beach. A large part of what fills our calendar is a family whose house flooded on Tuesday, a person who needs a safe place tonight, or someone flying in because a parent is in hospital. MetaWise BnB runs furnished, managed homes for all of them, and for holiday guests too, on behalf of the owners who trust us with the keys.

Who stays with us
Three kinds of guest we house
These describe the kinds of stay we handle, not individual guests. No names, no dates and no addresses — for the second one, that is the point.

After a flood, a fire, a burst pipe
The family whose house stopped being liveable at 2am
When a home floods or burns, the insurer's emergency-accommodation team needs somewhere for a family tonight — with a kitchen, with beds for everyone, near the school — and nobody knows yet whether it is for three weeks or four months.
A hotel room does not work for that. A furnished, managed house does. We take the call, sort the dates as the repairs move, and keep the family in one place rather than moving them every fortnight.

A safe place to stay
The person who needs a door that locks, and an address nobody has
Some of the people who stay with us are leaving a situation at home that is not safe. What they need is simple and urgent: a clean, private place, immediately, for as long as it takes, with no lease to sign and no landlord to explain themselves to.
We provide it quietly. That is why this page does not say where, and why none of those properties are described anywhere on this site.

When the week changes without warning
The relative flying in for surgery, the crew that starts Monday
A parent in hospital across the city. A project team that needs six beds near the site by Monday. A family between selling one house and getting the keys to the next. None of these is a holiday, and all of them need a real home for a while rather than a room with a kettle.
Mid-term, furnished, walking distance to the hospital or the office, and one phone number that answers. That is most of what we do.
What that means for an owner
More than one kind of demand in your calendar
A property that only sells weekends depends entirely on the school holidays. One that also takes insurance placements, relocations, hospital stays and project crews has its mid-week nights filled and a floor under the quiet months. That mix is deliberate. It is also why the estimate we send you is a range with the mix written down, rather than a single number.
It also changes how the property is run. A guest arriving at short notice, sometimes on the worst day of their year, gets the same clean, ready home as a couple on holiday. And you get a statement showing, in dollars, exactly who stayed and what was earned.

Who you are dealing with
Founder-led, in two languages
MetaWise BnB is the short-stay and mid-term arm of MetaWise Property, led by Leo Wei, who has 17 years in real estate. The person who quotes you is the person responsible for the result: whether a guest gets an answer at 11pm, whether the rate was reviewed, and whether the statement adds up.
We work in English and Simplified Chinese, across owner conversations, reporting and guest handling. If you live overseas, that makes a practical difference. 我们提供中英文双语服务。
Sydney is home and where most of our portfolio sits, but we take on properties elsewhere in Australia. The same team also manages long-term leases, so we can tell you honestly when a lease is the better answer for your property.
MetaWise operates as a licensed real-estate business (NSW licence 10066055; Queensland licence 4865879, held by Leo (Zheng) Wei; ABN 47 145 826 339). You can check these on the public registers.
